ANNOUNCEMENT OF 2023 CCL-US STEM SUMMER RESEARCH GRANT


The CCL-US Grants Committee is now inviting proposals for 2023 STEM Summer Research Grant awards. The $5,000 grants are designed to support faculty members at non-R1 institutions who facilitate and mentor undergraduate students on meaningful research projects in STEM fields. The deadline for receiving proposals is April 10, 2023, and the reporting deadline for approved grants is Dec 31, 2023.


The Chance to Change Lives foundation (CCL-US), a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization based in Pittsburgh, PA, was founded with a mission to support high impact experiential learning experiences for undergraduate students, especially from under-represented groups, to prepare them for twenty-first century research and development careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. Our organization is committed to empowering researchers and faculty mentors in STEM disciplines who provide such invaluable research experiences for students to become future leaders in those fields.

Timeline

• March 1, 2023 – Grant Announcement
• April 10, 2023 – Deadline for Applications
• May 1, 2023 – Notification of Awards
• May 5, 2023 – Distribution of Funds for Summer Research
• Dec 31, 2023 – Final report deadline for 2023 grant recipients. (Details will be
provided to the grantees)
• Spring 2024 – STEM Research Symposium (Format and Dates TBD)


All proposals must be submitted as a packet (in pdf format) electronically to grantsubmission@ccl-us.org before 5pm (Eastern Standard Time) on April 10, 2023. All questions regarding the grant must be sent to bala@ccl-us.org
